this engagement session was really special because i photographed david's brother's wedding and katie's best friends wedding! i was thrilled to hear she had always wanted me to shoot her wedding and sure enough we got the call when her and david started planning their big day. their wedding date happens to be the same day i got married....november 6th !! katie follows my blog and knows all my favorite locations but she had a plan. her plan as a native daytonian was to take me to some new places around town ... ones i didn't know about! it was wonderful and we even found a few others along the way! i loved everything about these two and i cannot wait for their big fat catholic wedding :)

this was one of the first family sessions i did this spring. it was a warm, sunny day ... not sure what happened because it's been pretty cold and wet around here lately. in any case, we had a great time and this family was a ton of fun! i love all the color choices mom made ... enjoy some of my favorites :)

i just heard we got some blog love on weddingbee.com from one of our brides ... amanda!

we are so thrilled to photograph their wedding in rhode island this year! i can't say enough wonderful things about this couple. we have three chicago couples this year and several others outside of the dayton, ohio area. we love getting out and shooting in different locations but mainly we love couples who just get photography and what we love to do!

carmen- would you ever consider doing workshops for beginners/moms who just want to learn how to take great pictures of their kids (at the park, zoo, at home, school events, etc. when we just can't take you along with us :)) basic composition, lighting, etc.? thanks!
